Sometimes, exciting things happen at boring places...

I don't know if exciting is the right word and I am not sure how much I can actually say without revealing too much but a part of our department was raided by over 50 police today. A couple of dozen employees were taken back to police for questioning. People who had the day off were brought in. All offices were sealed. Briefs and folders dating several years back were taken in the raid. Now without revealing who was targeted by the raid, it is a part of our department that is or could be sensitive to corruption. I am fairly certain this will be in tomorrow's papers so I'm sure you'll keep hearing about it. Corruption in the government always makes for a big story.

Alright, what else is new... the wedding of my friend that I attended on Saturday in Bitterfeld was really nice. The bride wore a beautiful white dress and the groom whom I didn't really know before the marriage is a good catch from what I can tell. They really make a nice couple and they are already on their honeymoon as I am writing this. Bitterfeld, however, is as ugly as I always suspected it would be. Hehe

My deceased grandmother... she hadn't even been dead for 24 hours when the fight over the will started. There is a house, there are debts and there are three children who have very different opinions over what to do with it all. It's my father and his older sister versus their younger sister. The younger sister is the devil here. To make a long story short: she is responsible for her mother's debts and now she is vetoing the sale of the house because she "wants to buy it 4 years from now". Which is funny as she is broke and already has a house with her estranged husband. The same house that caused her peculiar financial situation of the present. She's completely lost it... I suspect that the battle is worthy of consideration for an episode of the Jerry Springer show...

Right now, I am at the Mickey D eating fries and drinking a Coke. I have uni to attend in an hour so I'll be busy until late this evening. I hope you ain't upset that I update so rarely these days. I just can't be bothered. Later.

Haha, exciting. I'll try to find the story on the news. At least when you're not involved in the crime yourself it's got to be interesting to be in the middle of it.

And yes, it sounds like your father's younger sister seems to not think hard enough.

Nothing exciting happened at my work today, I'm sort of jealous, lol.

Fights over wills are so nasty. My mother and her sister still haven't settled my granmother's estate. My aunt illegally obtained power of attorney and then guardianship over my grandmother before she died and now she's trying to get my mother to relinquish everything my grandmother left her, claiming my mother doesn't deserve it since my aunt "took care of their mother." Bullfuckingshit. It makes me sick, you'd think she'd put aside her pettiness now that my granmother's gone, but no...

How cool! The most exciting thing that's happened at my work in ages was getting stuvk in the elevator for like 10 minutes *yawn*.

Hi Anne,

I'm catching up on your blog... sorry about your Grandmother. Don't you just hate the in-fighting that can go on after a death?

Hmmmm, Drama at work, huh? A raid no less! Were you questioned? Is that bright white light as aggrevating as it looks?

As for the McDonald's fries... Did you know they were seasoned with beef? I just heard that on the news today! Imagine all the vegetarians who've been eating Ronald's fries thinking they were safe?
