Wermsdorf
Out of all places, the bird flu hits the village where we go to for our Christmas goose every year. That's not just ironic, it is freaking unfair.
At least the broadcasters are lucky. It's not a long way from flood-hit Dresden to flu-hit Wermsdorf. Though, I suspect the only reason why the reporters made such a big deal out of a small flood was that they could spend a nice couple of days in the most beautiful place.
Here's to hoping that the next catastrophy will hit another part of Germany.

Sweetie...
If the geese are sneezy, I'll send you a nice chitlin' loaf in December.
Happy Holidays!
Uhm thanks but.... DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNN'T. LOL Oh LS, you are a bad girl!! As for the scarlett letter, that was an appropriate choice. hehe
Or... that it doesn't hit at all.
Some seagulls outside our office window were pissing us off by sqwawking today and I turned to my colleague and went "don't worry, by the weekend they'll be coughing to death".
Uplifting thought.
The flood has hit other parts of Germany harder now though. But I don't know at all how bad it really is, because hardly anyone is reporting on it.

That bird flu is scary biccies indeed.
If it comes here my sister will have to give up work (she works in an animal sanctuary where some of the residents are birds). Here's hoping it doesn't come this way! Ek.
