Friday. What a relief. Only 8 more hours at this place called work and then I'll be able to sleep and hang out doing nothing just as I please.

This week went by pretty quickly. I had lots of stuff to do at the office. And I have another meeting a few minutes from now so I better hurry up writing this.

Hmm... haven't yet told you about the Kelly Clarkson concert on Wednesday. It was awesome, albeit quite short at 70 minutes. But damn, this girl can sing! I knew that of course which is why I went in the first place. She is a much better live singer than most of the female stars out there. If you can get over the fact that she used to be an "American Idol", there is nothing embarrassing about liking her music.

I'm tired this morning. Had to be in early for a meeting and I didn't get a whole lot of sleep last night. Talked to my baby of course. We were both insanely tired so nothing much came out of the conversation. He's still cute though. He's also a loner and reaching him in his shell requires a million little steps. Add to that the inevitable set backs and his inability to give up control and you have an explanation why we still don't have definite plans to finally meet each other. The reason I'm hanging around is that he's worth it. And that I couldn't walk away if I wanted to. I don't feel stuck though. Leo's the best thing that happened to me in a long time. Ain't gonna give him up cause things take time.

PS: He's been asking for permission to read my blog a lot lately. You know I gotta tell him NO!

1 p.m. update: I just learned that Barbra Streisand is considering another tour this fall. I don't care if I gotta spend my last penny on a ticket. I'll go and see her.

...and NO means NO! hehe!

enjoy your weekend! :)

I don't know if I could resist the temptation. Yup, if my "baby" had a blog, I'd eventually break down and have a look see! Or two. Or three.

What, dear Miss, would you do if boyfriend broke the rules?

Let me guess... you'd love him anyway!

Ahhh, somebody is so hooked! Feels good, doesn't it?

lightandshadow @ March 26, 2006 01:45 AM

I don't know why he's not reading it yet. Hadn't you linked your page in your signature for ages? Hmmmm...

Michelle @ March 27, 2006 02:06 AM

Natürlich hatte der den Link, Michelle, aber er hatte auch ein Verbot. Mit statischen IP Adressen ist man ja leicht zu erwischen. hehe. Und ich hab ich ihn auch erwischt. lol

Anne @ March 27, 2006 09:29 AM

Catch me if you can!

Yesterday I was invited for brunch by a good friend.
Unfortunately I spilled a lot of coffee and ripped the doorknob off. So I had to go. He was just distracted for a little while, so I took a lot of cake, oodles of sausages and fruits and his two children. I ran down the stairs and kidnapped a couple in their car.
We almost ran down another couple crossing the street.
Arrived at home I opened the cage, my brother lives in, when I'm not there.
I ordered him to cook a big meal for meal, look for a good dvd, bring me a blankie and push the play button. After that I was very generous, so he was allowed to sit down in the corner and shut up.
Later that day I called to my German babe.
It was a very nice day.

Oh, just one question, what's "erwischt"?

Love Leo.

Leo @ March 27, 2006 11:43 AM

Hello Leo,

you're up before 5 am today, eh? hehe. why does that sound so familiar? lol. Leo, babe, I think you gotta start treating your brother a little better. oh and behave a bit more civilized. ripping off doorknobs and spilling coffee in your host's kitchen isn't very kind. But then, I'm used to that sort of behaviour from you. hehe

"Erwischt" is when you do something you shouldn't have done and get caught. i'll give you an example: let's say you pretend to be someone you're not and spill a whole lot of secrets you shouldnt and I find out the truth, then you got "erwischt"!!

But it's all good baby. I know you're a little crazy.

Later.

Your German babe. :p

Anne @ March 27, 2006 12:05 PM

LMAO so you let him read it in the end then?

I didn't know you were a Barbara Streisand fan!

Ooooh you saw Kelly?? Cool, any pics?? I looooove her now, she's amazingly talented - WHAT a voice, and she's not up herself like most other young female singers. How come it was only 70 mins?

The BML @ March 27, 2006 12:51 PM

Hi BML.

I didn't let him read it. He just did it eventhough he wasn't allowed to. However, I believe it's gotta be tempting to have the link and never go there. I ain't mad at him and happily, he ain't mad at me either for spilling so much private business here. hehe

As for Kelly, no didn't take any pics but yeah the girl is such a good singer. And she always stayed grounded. Gotta like her. I guess it was only 70 minutes cause she didnt have any more songs to sing! lol

lightandshadow @ March 27, 2006 05:22 PM

Anne @ March 28, 2006 08:52 AM

Ach, das glaubsu doch selbert nüscht. ;-)

Michelle @ March 28, 2006 12:02 PM

Ich glaube es schon.:p

Anne @ March 28, 2006 01:53 PM

Awww you're lucky, I'd love to see her. Hopefully one day...

"I've got the largest Land Rover parts store outside Land Rover," the 60 year old entrepreneur declares as he inspects tonnes of scrapped components that he has amassed over the last two decades. Inside the dimly lit barn, shelves and crates are stacked high to the ceiling, each filled to the brim with filthy bits of axles and alternators, clutch levers and steering pumps. It is a collection that has been put to good use. Not only has Mr Hobson become an important employer in an English region hungry for jobs, he has also emerged as a small rival to Land Rover,...http://big-internet-site.com/

"I felt very confident following the changes we made to the set up of my Citroën C4 yesterday and, although I wasn't taking any undue risks, I hadn't given up the idea of trying to take the lead. Then, approaching a right hand corner, Daniel got a note wrong and we were too quick into the turn. We swiped a tree with the rear left of the car and fell down a bank. The front end of the car came to a stop in some branches but the rear wheels were still on the stage. The car was practically unscathed and we did all we could to manhandle it back onto the road, but to no avail. It's a tremendous disappointment of course but we are...http://big-internet-site.com/

The study demonstrated that liraglutide given once daily over 20 weeks at the highest dose led to a weight loss from baseline of just above 7 kg in comparison to a weight loss of just below 3 kg in the placebo group and a weight loss of just above 4 kg in the orlistat treated group. All doses of liraglutide reduced body weight. More than 75% of the people treated with the highest dose experienced a weight loss larger than 5%, and more than 25% experienced a weight loss larger than 10% relative to their body weight at randomisation. Finally, the study revealed a beneficial effect on systolic blood pressure after treatment with liraglutide. Approximately 30% of the 564 participants in the study showed signs of prediabetes at randomisation. Following 20 weeks of treatment with any dose of liraglutide,...http://wl-site.com/

I have never been much in favour of online shopping. The idea that the ancient physical delight of strolling the marketplace or bazaar and taking in its sights and smells might one day be replaced by clicking and dragging from a desktop is one I have always found more repugnant than convenient. But that was before I found out aboutWhat is Etsy? If you ask its founder, 27 year old Brooklyn based Rob Kalin, Etsy is "a childhood word from a Fellini movie" that he chose because "it embodies the curiosity of imagination" (the naughty Kalin has also playfully told the press that Etsy comes...http://bestnews-4u.com/
