Worst day of the year

Hello there. I am not in the best mood ever as I write this. Quite to the contrary actually. My 'other' grandmother arrived today to visit us. I have a granny I love very much. She's the one who lives next to us but she's visiting friends over the New Year. And then there's the 'other'. Last time I saw her was at the funeral of her husband, my grandfather, though I usually avoid calling him that. I never liked either of them and even ten years ago I always hated the rare times when we had to visit them or they came around. They are very much the kind of people who I just don't get along with: old, pigheaded, intolerant. And about 97 other nasty characteristics. What's worse: grandmother will be staying until Sunday, which happens to be the day I will fly back to Munich. Which means: the rest of my vacation at home is basically ruined.

Oh and have you seen that idiot president ever since the biggest disaster in memory came over Asia? Of course not, the whole world is expected to tolerate two wars because of 3,000 American dead but Dubya is vacationing on his ranch and not even giving a damn statement. I am so not surprised. I hope he rots in hell once he gets there.

January 1st update: Michelle politely brought the Bush statement to my attention. However, W still deserves to rot in hell. ;-)

I hate my deceased biological father's parents too.

Remember, if they're really old - the authorities will probably think it's natural causes if you put a pillow over her face.

oh, but Bush did give a statement. i watched parts of it, and they've announced about 35 million dollars of financial help and more stuff, also troops are about to arrive on huge ships and so on.

not that it really matters what Bush says, but yeah - he did give a statement.

Michelle @ December 30, 2004 10:04 PM

He did NOT go on TV to give a speech. At least I didn't see him...

Anne @ January 1, 2005 10:50 AM

Anne @ January 1, 2005 07:32 PM

check for the date and time and you'll see.

Michelle @ January 1, 2005 08:18 PM

i searched for myself, but since dec. 30th there've been hundreds and hundreds of articles already on bush and that tsunami.

Michelle @ January 1, 2005 08:23 PM

I have already done an extensive search. I can't find anything cause there was no statement. :p

Anne @ January 1, 2005 08:29 PM
