America divided, unsure over Michael Jackson

From a FOX NEWS poll conducted Dec 3-4:

Q: In November, singer Michael Jackson was arrested and booked on suspicion of molesting a young boy. Based on what you’ve heard so far, do you think Jackson is guilty or not guilty of child molestation?

All White Black*
1. Guilty 35% 38% 15%
2. Not guilty 22 17 58
3. (Not sure) 43 44 26

Q: How would you rate the news coverage of the Michael Jackson case? Would you say it has been:

All White Black*
1. Fair and responsible, 14% 14% 8%
2. Excessive, but still fair or 33 36 21
3. Excessive and unfair? 33 29 49
4. (Depends) 6 6 6
5. (Not sure) 14 14 17

* small sample

What we have here is a nation deeply divided and no matter if we like it or not this case will be as much about race as anything. Brace yourselves!

Yeah definitely.
That said MJ is a more complicated case than OJ for instance as many blacks accuse him of "wanting to be white" because of the vitiligo thing.
But it's definitely a race issue, tho any media outlet will frown at anyone saying so. Sad really.

Surprisingly, 58 percent of Blacks think Mike is innocent, 26 percent haven't made up their mind yet. So regardless what the media wants us to think, his people do have his back...

And OJ wasn't really the blackest man in America either.. LOL

LOL but to a certain extent you/they could say that of any black man who "made it".
